My name is Yolanda Roulette, I am the new Finance Manager for O’Chiese First Nation. I enjoy both the Ojibway and Cree culture. I am from Sandy Bay First Nation in Manitoba and can speak Saulteaux at a beginner level â˜º I have four children between the ages of 15 to 21.

I love the wonderful world of accounting and have ambitions of attaining a Certified Public Accountant Designation in the near future. Currently, I have a Certified Aboriginal Financial Manager Designation –CAFM received through the Aboriginal Financial Officers Association of Canada - AFOA. In my pursuit of the CPA designation, I am currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Commerce Degree Program that I am taking online.

I have worked for my First Nation for a short period of time, but have mostly worked in the Child Welfare field. I am a member of the Aboriginal Financial Officers Association-AFOA, and used to sit on the Board of Directors for the Manitoba Region. I’ve acquired ten+ years of work and volunteer experience in the accounting and financial area.

I would like to thank the Chief and Council for allowing me to be a part of your family, and a part of their team. I look forward to getting to know each of you during my time with you.
