The O’Chiese Business and Investment Centre (OCBIC) is pleased to update the community on the past year’s highlights for O’Chiese Contracting L.P.  We welcomed Bill Lowry as the new manager in 2017, as well as, many other key personnel who will help us sustain successful operations in 2018. O’Chiese Contracting was awarded the Downtown Infrastructure Project. This provides an opportunity for O’Chiese Contracting to diversify its current business operation.

The year began with focusing on maintaining and building the working relationship between Bellatrix Exploration and OCFN.  In addition, leadership signed a Master Service Agreement with Taqa North.  Thus, creating promising opportunities for O’Chiese Contracting, other O’Chiese businesses and band members.

As most people are aware, an unfortunate and spontaneous fire occurred on March 21st, which resulted in the loss of the Contracting Shop and contents. However, a new beginning is on the horizon, as a plan to rebuild is already in progress.  Hopefully, this new and improved facility will become a reality by late 2018.

In keeping with the theme of “out with the old and in with the new”, O’Chiese Contracting is pleased to report the sale of older pieces of heavy equipment and the purchase of three new pieces of equipment, enlarging and improving our current operational fleet. O’Chiese Contracting expects to see continued growth in the upcoming year and will continue to explore additional opportunities outside the boundaries of OCFN.
