O'Chiese Youth attends the Medicine Hat Youth Conference-July 10-12, 2009

The O'Chiese youth ages 13-17 year olds attended a youth conference in Medicine Hat, Alberta for three days from July 10, 11 and 12, 2009. All in attendance were ten youth, two chaperones, one driver and Sarah Saulteaux, NNDAP Staff Worker. The youth attended a variety of workshops including a self esteem workshop. The youth attended the Speedway Racing, toured a buffalo farm, learned how to make beef jerky and attended a DJ Dance every night from 10pm to midnight! The O'Chiese Youth enjoyed meeting other youths from all over. On the drive back from Medicine Hat, they stopped in at Sylvan Lake for a leisurely swim before heading back to O'Chiese. Thank you to the driver, Barry Saulteaux, the Chaperones and to Brighter Futures for funding this amazing conference for our youth.
