Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Junior Sawmill Worker to join our valued client’s team in Grande Prairie, AB. This is a full-time position, ideally suited to an individual committed to excellence and safety. The successful candidate will begin as a yard labourer with clear opportunities to progress into more senior roles within the sawmill operation.

 

Location: Rocky Mountain House

Position Type: Full-time

Wage/Salary Range: $25 per hour

Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday, daytime shifts

Hours Per Day: 8–10 hours per day

Responsibilities:

• Perform general yard labour duties including material handling, cleanup, and assisting equipment operators.

• Support sawmill operations by ensuring proper flow of materials and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

• Follow all safety protocols and participate in regular safety meetings.

• Assist senior sawmill personnel as required to support production activities.

Qualifications:

• Ability to perform physical labour, including lifting, bending, and working in outdoor conditions.

• Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.

• Willingness to learn and grow within the sawmill environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Recent heavy labour experience.

• Familiarity with basic hand tools or equipment operation.

Work Environment:

• Outdoor and indoor industrial environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying weather conditions.

• Personal protective equipment required and provided as per site standards.
