The O’Chiese First Nation Justice Development goal is to provide a Safe and Vibrant community for all members. To accomplish this task, there is a need to continuously collect data for the safety needs of the Nation and all it’s external partners. This data collection will assist in providing actionable direction of the Justice Development Liaison. The Justice Development Department will continue to work with and for the Residents of the Nation and the many Nation departments, to ensure the people of the Nation can live and work without fear. The ultimate goal will be to create our own Tribal Police Force and O’Chiese First Nation self governed Laws.

The O’Chiese First Nation Justice Department works with Chief & Council to develop by-laws and other programs for O'Chiese. We are also helping to implement a Restorative Justice program on the nation. We work with the RCMP and other agencies to provide a safe community for all its members.
